Students may check out up to two items at a time, unless additional items are approved by library staff. Items available for checkout include:

• Books, e-readers, and MP3 players – Loaned for two weeks and renewable once, unless the item is on hold for another student or teacher.
• Equipment, magazines, and encyclopedias – Loaned for three days.

Students are responsible for all materials checked out under their name. If items are overdue or damaged, the following policies apply:

• Overdue fines:
  • Books and general materials: $0.02 per school day, up to $1.00 maximum per item
  • Equipment: $1.00 per day
• Lost or damaged items: Full replacement cost will be charged.
• Students with outstanding fines or fees may lose checkout privileges and receive a grade hold at the end of the grading period.

Notices will be sent via first-hour or English teachers. Students are expected to take immediate action to return or resolve any issues with materials.

To visit the library during class time, students must:

• Present a fully completed pass signed by the sending teacher.
• Turn in the pass and sign in at the clipboard upon arrival.
• Have a clear academic task, either written on the pass or included as a handout.

Passes from substitute teachers will not be accepted unless pre-approved by library staff.

No pass is needed after school, but students must still sign in at the circulation desk.

Students must follow all technology expectations outlined in the Tulsa Public Schools Students’ Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.

The library is a shared learning space. Help keep it welcoming for everyone by following these guidelines:

• No cell phones allowed to avoid distractions.
• Use headphones if your device plays audio.
• Water is allowed in all areas. Snacks and other drinks are permitted only in non-carpeted areas.
• Be respectful of the space: clean up after yourself and use appropriate behavior.
